Charity announced for the 2022 Sun City West Witches Ride

Benevilla will be the beneficiary of funds raised by the 2022 Sun City West Witches Ride this fall.

“Working with and on behalf of Benevilla is a wonderful opportunity to combine an awesome community event with a very deserving service organization,” stated head witch Anna Gorman.

Started in 1981, Benevilla is a nonprofit caring for the needs of older adults by focusing well-established services and assistance to the individual and beyond to the entire family by addressing the ongoing needs of caregivers and families.

While the charity remains the main focus, the Witches Ride is a fun event for Sun City West women who support the cause.

Riders decorate their bikes and golf cars and dress in full witch regalia including brooms and hats. After the community parade, witches commune in the park for a bring-your-own-everything picnic. The festivities include live music, the infamous witches dance and a conga line.

The event is scheduled for Oct. 27.
