HONOR
Cadet honored by NSDAR
Posted
One of the missions of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is to promote education.
To accomplish this, the organization created and made available special JROTC certificates and bronze medals to all NSDAR chapters. They can be presented to an outstanding junior college or high school junior or senior JROTC cadet.
To receive the awards, the cadet must meet certain criteria established by NSDAR. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Sun City NSDAR chapter was unable to present the awards at a special Cactus High School JROTC awards night event, which was cancelled in the spring.
Lt. Col. Roel Zamora presented cadet Jo Navarrete with the NSDAR certificate and medal. Cadet Navarrete has enlisted into the US Navy and will be leaving for duty in March 2021.
