The Rhythm Ramblers Big Band is beginning its fall rehearsals from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at the Fairway Recreation Center, 10600 W. Peoria Ave., Sun City.
Rehearsals are open to the public, who are welcome to enjoy big band music and vocalist Barry Dale.
The Ramblers’ music includes swing, rock and roll, waltzes, line dance and more. The first Tuesday of every month, except September, the band sponsors a Tea Dance from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Sundial Recreation Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. Dance admission is $5 for Sun City residents and $7 for guests.
The Rhythm Ramblers, a Sun City institution, were started by Del Webb himself in 1963 as a way to entertain visitors and prospective home buyers.
