Betty Ann Rupp-Coyne

Betty Ann Rupp Coyne, 96 years of age, passed on to be with her Lord and Savior, on Tuesday January 23, 2024, at Surprise Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Betty was born January 12, 1928, in Racine, Wisconsin to the late Raleigh and Mary Ridge. She was the oldest daughter of 4 children, Bonnie, Deirdre, Merry all preceded her in death. Betty graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan, WI.
Betty married the late Rudolph Rupp on April 24, 1948, and 7 children were born from this union. After the first 2 children were married, Betty and Rudy moved to Phoenix, Arizona in August 1970 for his health. Rudy passed on to the Lord on January 17, 1978.
Betty worked at AT&T from October 1972 until she retired in 1990 at the age of 62. She then traveled with her friends all over the country.
She loved to play her flute, golf, putt, bowl, crochet, did jigsaw puzzles and make villages and other things out of plastic canvas. She joined a bowling league where she met her second husband John Coyne. They were married on November 6, 1993, in Phoenix, Arizona. They moved to Sun City West in 1998. They loved to golf and bowl until John passed on Sept. 8, 2011.
She then joined Pebble Brook Lady Niners, SCW Lady Putters, and a bowling league and made a lot of new friends. Everyone loved her due to her happy, smiling, and positive personality. People would call her Sunshine, a true treasure, she always had a nice word to say to and about everyone and always thinking of others first. She was a loving and caring mother to all of her family. To know her was to love her. All she would say is “I’m so Blessed”.
Betty leaves behind her children, Toni (James) Zastrow, Mary Panis, Jody (Clark) Harwood, Patrick (Janis) Rupp and daughter in law Elaine Rupp.
She also leaves behind her 11 grandchildren, Rob, Jon (Sheryl), Mark, Tracy (Scott), Jennifer (Eric), Chris, Tim, Jeff (Denise), David (Tia), Heather and Briana. 20 Great-grandchildren, Stormy, Trever, Brian, Allison, Kevin, Jax, Aidin, Zoey, Maddie, Elise, Kyle, Kona, Kali, Ryder, Aspyn, Morgan, Alden, Eddie, Jayden, and Braxton. 2 Great-Great grandchildren Graesyn and Miles. Also, numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband’s Rudolph Rupp and John Coyne. Her children Robert Rupp, Debbie Zimbaro, Scott Rupp, son in law Harry Panis, daughter in law Becky Rupp, granddaughter in law Vanessa Frazier, grandchildren Joshua Zastrow and William (Billy) Rupp. Her parents Raleigh and Mary Ridge, and sisters Deidre Gillian, Bonnie Wood, Merry Ridge.

March 9, 2024, at 11am,
