The Roadrunner Chapter of Arizona Questers, based in Sun City and Surprise, will hold a community garage sale to raise funds for their chapter’s preservation and restoration project 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. March 10 and 11 at 10621 W. Cherry Tree Lane.

The Questers in Arizona have a long and rich history when it comes to preserving the state’s history. Chapters raise money and donate it to a historic organization.

Preservation and restoration projects, selected by Quester chapters, help preserve old buildings, sites and artifacts for the benefit of citizens and future generations. The Roadrunners have donated their preservation and restoration money in the past to the Sun Cities Area Historical Society/Museum.

The Roadrunner Quester chapter meets once a month from October through May. The focus of chapter meetings is a planned program highlighting a collection, historic story or historic site often presented by a Quester member, local collector or other expert. Meetings may take place in a Quester home, public venue, or historical site like a museum.
