Area writer tells tales of community drama
Posted
“It Happened in Cassidy: Stories of a Small Town” is the first book of fiction written by local resident Nancy Kasten.
In the book, multiple stories tell the story of ordinary people who draw on their own inner strength and the support of their community to get through not-so-ordinary problems of life.
Just like the town of Cassidy provides everything its residents need for a good life, Sun City West provides the same for Ms. Kasten: “a great library, the West Valley Symphony and Arizona Broadway Theatre.” On a more physical level, she enjoys golfing, attending tai chi and jazzercise classes and especially traveling the world with her husband.
Having retired from her career teaching high school English and drama in Ontario, Canada, Ms. Kasten continues to write more tales of the trials and triumphs of the good, decent folk who live in the small town of Cassidy.
“It Happened in Cassidy” is published through Amazon in Kindle and paperback versions.
