A Sun City West resident began a tradition to display flags about 15 years ago.

After his passing, three old friends of William Barringer reached out to his daughter, Robin Hill, in 2019 to bring the tradition back to life.

The group goes by the name the “Franciscan Flag Team” and places American flags in the front yards of residents on Franciscan Drive between 138th Avenue and Aleppo Drive.
