Celebrate the holiday season when the Sun City Women’s Chorus shares the joy with its Christmas concert 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Sundial Auditorium. Tickets to the concert are available for $5 from chorus members or at the door.
This year’s program kicks off with the classic, spirited “Here We Come A-Caroling” and includes traditional favorite arrangements along with inspiring tunes to lift listeners’ spirits such as “Mary, Did You Know,” “Christmas Is…” and “A Swingin’ Christmas.”
Chorus members have rehearsed for months under the direction of Velda Jensen and accompanist Linda Shirck to bring Sun City an afternoon of quality seasonal entertainment.
Chorus President Jane Carey welcomes women who love to sing to join this enriching musical group.
“Music provides a spiritual uplift and as a chorus we enjoy the camaraderie of learning and performing together as a team. Our efforts aim to further engage with and lift the spirits of our Sun City community,” she said.
