Two World War II Rosies have been elected co-presidents of the Sun City Chapter of Rosie the Riveters. Caroline Kilgore and Arlene Schindler, both age 97, are once again stepping up for the cause.
During WWII, Kilgore was a riveter and bucker on the C-47 cargo planes, and Schindler worked at Severance Tool and Die. In true Rosie spirit, they are continuing to show “We Can Do It!”
The Rosie’s Sun City Chapter now meets at The Palmbrook Golf Club in Sun City, 10 a.m.-noon on the first Tuesday of the month.
