Every Thursday, Paul Willemssen and Patty Morris help keep the Sun City Ukulele Club’s weekly jams humming. From keeping lyrics on screen to following the music leader through verses and choruses, these volunteers make it possible for up to 100 members to strum and sing along.
Willemssen has managed the projector for nearly the club’s entire history and built its original website in 2013. Morris serves as special events coordinator and helped develop the club’s new website.
The club is hosting a mentorship program 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Fairway Recreation Center, 10600 W. Peoria Ave. The free ukulele lessons are open to all RCSC cardholders.
