The Sun City PRIDES gathered at 105th and Peoria avenues March 11 and celebrated Arbor Day. This annual event is where participants plant trees in the memory of PRIDES who passed in the previous year. Trees were planted to remember Robert Holland, Harry Sherman, Paul Tiffany, Judith Zink, Richard Foster and Bonnie Walker. An additional tree was planted through a donation from Linda Hall and Tom Haugsby. The Sun City Posse Color Guard joined the PRIDES along with Jim Bull, community liaison for Maricopa County representing Supervisor Debbie Lesko. Maricopa County assisted the PRIDES with the planting as well. Visit suncityprides.org for more information.
