The Recreation Centers of Sun City hosted its budget town hall Monday to present the suggested 2027 budget to Sun City residents. The suggested budget, which was developed by Sun City residents, is roughly $33 million.
Linda McIntyre, who has been on the committee since 2022, said the team of nine met over a four month period and got input from nearly every senior manager in the RCSC.
“Ultimately, team members reached a unanimous decision and handed their plan off to the nine-member finance committee in May,” she said. “Since then, finance has been analyzing and debating this budget, sharing many perspectives and has had a lot of very difficult conversations.”
