The Sun City Elks Lodge #2559 awarded Cadet Myra Wisniewski with the JROTC Cadet of the Month Award for September.
Wisniewski is currently a senior at Cactus High School. She recently served as co-chair of the unit’s cadet training day, making her responsible for teaching the basics of uniform wear, customs and courtesies, along with basic drill and ceremonies to 30 new cadets.
Wisniewski made a point of inviting each new cadet to make sure they knew the importance of the event. For the first time in 13 years the group had 100% attendance from the new cadets.
