The Sun City Early Birds Lions Club presented a $900 check to the Sun City Home Owners Association June 10, in a show of support for the HOA’s compliance efforts and advocacy that are cornerstone to maintaining the unique qualities of the Sun City community.
“Part of the mission of the Lions Club is to help strengthen community and as we support SCHOA we are directly supporting an organization that is instrumental in working for our community. We are happy to help support SCHOA to continue all that they do for our community,” said Judith Krieg, president of the Lions Club.
Ed Van Ness, president of SCHOA, added, “We are grateful for the generous donation from the Early Bird Lions Club and thankful for their continued support and friendship.”
Chartered in 1974, the Lion’s Club and SCHOA have since 1963 worked in support of each other’s community efforts. SCHOA collects used and no longer needed eyeglasses for the club, which are distributed to those in need of eyewear. Eyeglasses can be dropped off at the SCHOA office, 10401 W. Coggins Drive.
“The donation will help to continue SCHOA’s effort to serve the community. We are grateful for the support that the Sun City Early Birds Lions Club has shown us over the years and for this $900 donation. We will utilize these funds to make a very positive impact toward our goals,” said Lisa Gray, general manager for SCHOA.
