Bowler Roger Beebe rolled a perfect 300 Nov. 28 in Sun City.

Roger Beebe made history Nov. 28 at the Recreation Centers of Sun City.
The experienced bowler and member of the RCSC’s Bowling Committee knows the game well and appreciates its value to the community, and this showed while playing in the Bell Toppers League at Bell Lanes. Each time he lifted his arm and swung with perfect aim, his ball responded and flew down the polished lanes, knocking down every pin – ultimately hitting a perfect score of 300.
“It’s a special honor to know you simply could not have played any better – and to know that bowlers in Sun City are such a great mix of skill and comradery,” explained Mike Dirmyer, the Director of Bowling for RCSC.
The achievement is only seen a couple times per year within the Bell Toppers League and a handful of times monthly throughout the scratch leagues.
“We feel a sense of pride when someone accomplishes perfection at one of the centers,” said Dirmyer, who himself has scored that perfect 300 score multiple times while managing Bell and Lakeview lanes.
However, every RCSC member and cardholder is invited to work their way up to this level with a variety of leagues and activities.
Dirmyer invited members and cardholders to his monthly Bowl with the Director free event that takes place 10:30 a.m.-noon the first Thursday of every month at Lakeview Lanes. The next free event, which is open to new bowlers as well as experienced ones looking to improve, practice or train others, is Thursday, Dec. 7.
