OPINION — When I first moved here in 2019, I stayed at my brother’s place in Sun City West while I looked for a place and found one in Sun City.
I knew that he and my sister-in-law each paid separate recreation center fees, so I didn’t realize for quite a while that I was paying the same amount for recreation fees in Sun City as couples were.
I still do not understand that. Couples generally have two incomes while singles have only one, yet singles have many of the same major expenses as couples do — housing, utilities, taxes, insurance, etc.
