The Rhythm Ramblers, Sun City’s original big band, takes the Sundial Auditorium stage 2:30-4:30 p.m. Dec. 6 for a holiday edition of their monthly First Tuesday dance.
There will be Christmas favorites and dance music of all kinds: swing, cha cha, fox trot, rumba, waltz, polka and line dance.
Bring snacks. Cups and ice are provided.
Admission is $5 for RCSC cardholders and $7 for their escorted guests. Arrive early or contact Lynn Altherr to reserve a table for a party: laltherr@aol.com.
Started by Del Webb in 1963 to help welcome newcomers to Sun City, the Rhythm Ramblers became one of RCSC’s first chartered clubs in 1968. The band has evolved over the past 60 years but has always remained true to its original purpose: “to preserve the authentic sound of the big band era.”
Membership in the Rhythm Ramblers club is open to all RCSC cardholders, whether they play an instrument or not, and includes free admission to the dances. Email club president Bryan Altherr for detail: tubalips@aol.com.
