Rhythm Ramblers dance concludes season in Sun City

Posted

The Rhythm Ramblers, Sun City’s original big band and first chartered club, will conclude its spring season of performances 2:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in the Sundial Recreation Center auditorium, 14801 N. 103rd Ave.

Doors open at 2 p.m. Drinks and snacks may be brought in; cups and ice are provided.

The 61-year-old Rhythm Ramblers Club had record membership and attendance this season.

“Our mission as a band and club is to keep big band music alive and current in Sun City,” said music director Bryan Altherr.

A diverse set list, vocalists and soloists from within the band and guest players have proven a successful formula.

“Our audience has come to expect a great show, and the band works hard to deliver that,” Altherr added.

Members of the Rhythm Ramblers Club get in free to the April 2 event. Recreation Centers of Sun City cardholders may join the club for $10 or pay a single-dance admission of $5. Escorted guests pay $7. Reservations are recommended for parties of four or more. Call Lynn Altherr at 602-909-7586 to reserve a table.

The club’s First Tuesday concert and dance series will resume in the fall, with performances scheduled for Oct. 1, Nov. 5 and Dec. 3.

Call Rick Lamb at 602-677-8841 for more information.
