ProMusica Arizona cancels performance in Sun City

Posted

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, ProMusica Arizona has canceled its performance of “Latin Spice" scheduled for Sunday, April 5 at American Lutheran Church, 17200 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City.

“After much consideration and conversation regarding the risks and uncertainty surrounding the crisis, we have decided the safest course of action for our audience members, musicians, volunteers, and staff is to postpone ‘Latin Spice,’” Board chair Jan Sandoz stated in a news release. “While it’s disappointing that we won’t be able to bring this magnificent production to audiences at this time, it will be rescheduled for another time in the future.”

As a non-profit organization, the crisis has been a financial hit for ProMusica Arizona because some expenses related to the concert have already been incurred, but ticket revenue has disappeared.

“Thankfully, we have patrons who have opted to donate the purchase price of their tickets to ProMusica Arizona,” Ms. Sandoz stated. “Their generosity is truly appreciated and will help us weather the current situation.”

Those who have already purchased tickets and would like to receive a refund, receive a voucher for a future concert of their choice, or donate the purchase price of tickets should contact Yvonne Dolby at  ydolby@pmaz.org or 623-326-5172.
