Non-partisan group, Sun City Democrat club spend ‘Morning at the State Capitol’

The non-partisan Arizona Alliance for Retired Americans and the Sun City Democratic Club collaborated to offer their members a “Morning at the State Capitol” Oct. 24.

Speakers for this event included Michael Cady, retired history teacher, and Joan Clark, retired director of the Arizona State Library, who presented a brief history of the construction of the State Capitol and guided a tour of the Arizona Capitol Museum.

Morgan Dick, of the nonpartisan Arizona Advocacy Network, described the Request to Speak Program and the Ballot Initiative Process. Kaylan Fodder, of the nonpartisan organization Healthcare Rising Arizona, described the four objectives of the Stop Surprise Billing and Protect Patients Act ballot initiative.

The Sun City Democratic Club meetings are open to RCSC card holders and their invited guests. RCSC card holders who are Independents or Republicans are also welcome.
