Faith Presbyterian Church, 16000 N. Del Webb Blvd., is looking for more ways to expand beyond just a place of worship. Part of that initiative can be seen with the introduction of Musicality Music Academy, a school at the church founded by music director Rory Dowse.
Dowse, from Northern Ireland, first started playing piano when he was two. He said he grew up watching Barry Douglas and was greatly inspired by him.
“We’re particularly proud of him because we’re a population of two million people,” Dowse said. “He was this guy who was just reaching all the way around the world, so he was a great inspiration.”
