McIntyre: Residents can decide if qualifications met
Regarding several recent letters to the editor and two Sun City Independent articles about the Sun City Foundation, it’s time readers hear the rest of the story.
Janet Curry and I are the two individuals who approached the Sun City Foundation board in January 2024 about joining their board to seek grants and other bequests. However, they voted that we “were not a good fit.”
We are perplexed about the controversy surrounding this issue. The term “unqualified” has been published to describe us. We were never told what qualifications the SCF board were seeking or how ours fell short. Both of our resumes, if requested, would show we have a great deal of experience and expertise in the area we were proposing. We will let you be the judge as to whether we have the “qualifications” you desire for a director of the Sun City Foundation.
