Local company adopts new eye tech for cataract surgery

Allows surgeons to see in 3D

Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center Founder and Medical Director Dr. Emilio Justo has been a practicing ophthalmologist for 37 years and said a new technology is giving him a better view as a surgeon.

The Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center has adopted the Alcon NGENUITY 3D Visualization System, a platform that allows surgeons to see the eye in ultra–high-definition 3D on a widescreen monitor, and residents in the Sun Cities have two local location options.

“For me personally, this has been a relatively smooth, easy transition. Anytime you are trying new technologies there is a fear of how easy it is going to be and it is pretty seamless,” stated Justo.
