Willowbrook United Methodist Church in Sun City hosted Reverend Tweedy Navarette from Four Corners Native American Ministry in Shiprock.
Willowbrook members have been helping Four Corners when the COVID-19 started with 1,000 masks from the Kris Krafters groups and sent donations to help with water and other necessary items needed. At Thanksgiving, church members sent handmade clothing from Kris Krafters and another donation. The Easter offering of snacks for children were given to Reverend Navarette to use for the ministry’s summer program and once again, Kris Krafters made clothing for babies and toddlers.
Reverend Navarette was also given puzzles, diapers, stuffed animals and books.
The congregation heard a dynamic sermon from Reverend Navarette to understand the Navajo culture.
