Local author publishes book of Christian poetry

Sun City West resident and screenwriter-producer Claire Hutchinson has published a book of Christian poetry entitled “To All Those Who Are on A Journey: Christian Poetry Volume 1.”

Ms. Hutchinson's goal was “to publish this book of poetry during the Covid-19 crisis.” She wanted people to “turn away from the chaos, turn to Christ, and be uplifted, encouraged and inspired during these troubled times.”

The poems were written during Ms. Hutchinson's undergraduate years in the Bachelor of Arts (honors) program in English at the University of Winnipeg. They deal with various aspects of the Christian faith, including the trinity, the church, the degraded world situation and the revelation of Jesus Christ. The book also touches on themes dear to the author’s heart, such as “Moral Conduct and Work Ethic,” the “Writer’s Life/God’s Poet” and “Love and Marriage.”

Don Furrow, pastor at Trinity Bible Church, 14811 W. R.H. Johnson Blvd., Sun City West, commends Ms. Hutchinson's work, stating, “Thank you, Claire, for so gracefully reminding us of the values of time and eternity. This collection of poetry will challenge one’s thinking and stir one’s soul.”

The book can be purchased on Amazon.com as a paperback or ebook, or email claire@clairehutchinson.net to order a signed copy.
