Hector: Scam warnings important for seniors

The Independent’s article cites romance scams in particular. I would like to mention that another type of scam being perpetrated upon seniors are shady contractors. We’ve only lived here for six years, and have dealt with scam contractors on two different occasions. I wish something could be done to prevent these people from doing business here, a vetting process as it were.

Anyway, thank you for what is already being accomplished.
