Arizona Swing Kings look ahead to area performances

Arizona Swing Kings band members are looking forward to getting back into music entertainment ac-tivities as soon as it’s safe for performers and the audience. The group is hoping to set up outdoor concerts in September, October and November.

Event organizers are invited to contact the group for band booking information. Without obligation, possible event performance dates could be discussed, with the flexibility of later changes or cancellations due to the Covid-19 problems.

The Arizona Swing Kings Orchestra, with vocalists Vito Maynes, Bridget Mayne and “The Aug,” pianist/arranger, will present “The Great American Songbook and All That Jazz” 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19 at the Arizona Broadway Theatre, 7701 W. Paradise Lane.

Vito Maynes is one of ten musical siblings. He performs in the style of Frank Sinatra and has been in-volved in performing most of his life.

The Bridget & “The Aug” Duo has been in existence since 1990. The duo consists of Bridget Maynes, vocals, and Auggie Mendoza, piano/keyboard. Ms. Maynes is the founder of the award-winning Mayneswing girls trio, which won Best Vocal Group of the year for thee years in a row by Jazz In Arizona. Mr. Mendoza is a bassist, pianist and music writer/arranger.
