“Our mission is to remove the barriers that prevent kids from trying team sports," Tracy Werner, founder of Crush Kickball," said in a release. "I have developed a league from a childhood favorite game that is easy to play, easy to learn and where athletes of all skill levels are successful. We’ve seen firsthand the difference Crush is making in a child’s life, and we’re committed to expanding that opportunity across the Valley.”
Registration for the upcoming season is open, with a limited number of scholarships available for families who meet certain financial criteria. “The desire to play will never be about the ability to pay," Werner said.
The league is encouraging local residents, schools and community organizations to get involved. Whether as a player, coach, volunteer, or partner, there are many ways to support the league’s growing impact.
