Election day approaches, and Tempe residents have the opportunity to cast their vote in the Nov. 5 special bond election, which if approved, would allow for the city to issue and sell bonds that would support a series of community-focused initiatives.
In April, Tempe City Council voted to call for the special bond election to be held in conjunction with the general election.
The bonds will support projects that enhance community safety through public safety and roadway improvements, improve quality of life in Tempe neighborhoods and increase the supply of Tempe’s affordable housing. The principal amount will not exceed $581.5 million, according to the city’s website.
