Motorists on U.S. Highway 60 between Superior and Miami will encounter intermittent delays starting Monday, July 12, while crews install fiber optic lines within and adjacent to the roadway.
The work will occur in two areas: Superior to Top-of-the-World (mileposts 228 to 235) and just west of Miami (mileposts 241 to 243), according to a release.
Lane restrictions are expected weekdays during daylight hours. The work is scheduled to take about two months.
Motorists should expect speed reductions in the work zone and delays of 15 to 20 minutes are expected where flaggers are needed.
Drivers should proceed with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
