Serbiak: Greeting cards arriving late

USPS seems slower

Posted

What on earth has happened to our Postal Service?

I sent Mother's Day cards to ladies in my family on May 6. I did not put them in the mailbox outside our house because two of the cards needed extra postage. I can remember when a stamp for a letter cost five cents.

I talked with two of  the ladies who were to get the cards and found out that none of the people who were to get the cards received them.

I was going to the post office to ask about this when May 15 rolled around and  my sister-in-law called from Milwaukee on May 15, and said that she had received her card. That's about 15 days.

There are people here in Sun City West that could have covered the distance to  Milwaukee by bicycle.

What happened to our post office?

I am thinking about sending my Christmas cards on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

I hope they don't raise the rates again.
