Buckeye offering free sand ahead of Hurricane Hilary

The city of Buckeye is offering residents free sand to fill sandbags ahead of potential flooding in the area with the arrival of the remnants of Hurricane Hilary moving moisture in the area.
Buckeye Public Works at 23454 W. MC Highway 85 is where residents can residents fill up their sand bags .
In a tweet posted Aug, 18 the city stated, "Buckeye offers sand for our residents to collect when our flood potential is high. With Hurricane Hilary moving moisture this way, the flood risk is high through the weekend."
During a flooding event, sand will be available at three Buckeye Fire Stations. These fire station that have this availablity are:
