'Crazy idea': Museum looks to save 106-year-old Gilbert home

Developer aiding in effort to move house on to HD South's property, but donations needed quickly to enact plan

It seems unlikely.

The idea is to pick up a 106-year-old house that is wedged into a downtown area, drive it a half-mile down a narrow and busy main street and plop it down on the lawn of an even older structure, where some folks want to fix it up and open it to the public. All within a few weeks’ time.

Sounds difficult. Sounds expensive. Sounds maybe like someone had a flight of nostalgic whimsy and a little too much to drink.
