Members of Scrapbooking, Papercrafts, & More don’t just make cards for friends and family; they also share their love of papercrafts by giving back to the local community.

Several times a year, members of SPAM hand craft paper goody baskets or bags for residents participating in Sun City West’s Meals on Wheels program.

For the coming Christmas holiday, the club’s MOW coordinator, Sharon Marinello, had members fill small paper tube-like containers they crafted out of designer cardstock with chocolate candy; the tubes were then closed with ribbon.

The participants assembled snowmen and snowwomen from paper die cuts, which were attached to the front of the tote. The snowman candy holder was placed inside a cellophane bag and decorated with a custom club label made by club member Sandy Cryer.

Learn how to make greeting cards, papercrafts and scrapbooks (traditional or digital) by joining SPAM meets in the Beardsley center’s Agave Room on Wednesdays (5-9 p.m.), Thursdays (10 a.m.-3 p.m.), Fridays (10 a.m.-3 p.m.) and Saturdays (10 a.m.-5 p.m.).
