The Sun City Fire District Board of Directors could tentatively approve the 2017-18 fiscal year budget during its regular meeting tomorrow.

The board will meet 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 16 at the administrative office, 18602 N. 99th Ave. The meeting is open to the public.

Gabe Buldra, the district/s finance officer, presented the budget for the first time during a May 9 special meeting. The presentation tomorrow is the formal consideration of the budget. The board has the option of approving it during the meeting or adjusting it for later consideration.

Fire officials propose a budget that will see an increase of less than 1 percent from the 2016-17 budget proposal.

The board will also consider the remounting of an ambulance on a new chassis and the purchase of four new vehicles to replace aging fire prevention trucks.
