Silva: Grand Avenue congestion in Sun City prevalent

I live in Youngtown and travel 111th Avenue from Peoria to Grand avenues four times per day picking up and dropping off children at Discover U near 113th and Michigan avenues.
There are a lot of construction vehicles that use 111th Avenue — add the speeding vehicles, the golf cars and the extra slow drivers and it creates congestion.
Not sure anything can be done. I see a lot more cops patroling it — that helps.
There is just no other straight through route to get from Grand to Olive avenues that doesn’t involve stop signs every block.
It’s only going to get worse.
