Shirley Ann Sikora
Posted
March 27, 1942 - May 23, 2023 Shirley was a determined and courageous independent woman who worked hard to provide for herself and her family throughout her life. In her first career, Shirley was a hairdresser and enjoyed working in retail fashion. She later operated her own housekeeping business (Mop Squad), and was a loving nanny and caregiver for many families. She also volunteered at the St. Timothy's Church Childcare Center and PAZ de Cristo. Shirley loved spending time with her family and friends doing her favorite things: shopping, dining, laughing, dancing, listening to music and watching movies. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Sophie (née Kocierski) Sikora; and her son, Todd Tanguay. Shirley is survived by her daughters Denise Tanguay (Johnny Belluzzi) and Kristy Tanguay; and her beloved grandchildren Jackson and Isabela; and by her brother Jim Sikora (Katie Christiaansen). Shirley’s canine companion, Frankie, has joined a new home in California. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church located at 1730 W. Guadalupe Rd., Mesa, AZ at 10:00 a.m., September 29, 2023. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to one of Shirley’s favorite charities: Paz de Cristo or St. Timothy’s Daycare program. Wishing you peace, love, and harmony in the spirit in the sky.
