Kamp, Sheridan lead in Maricopa County Sheriff's race

Maricopa County will have a potential change in its sheriff after the general election in November.

On the Democratic side, current Sheriff Russ Skinner, appointed earlier this year to the position after Paul Penzone stepped down, was facing off against Tyler Kamp.

Kamp had taken a considerable early lead on Skinner, with 121,891 or about 54.7% of the vote to Skinner's 100,834 or 45.3%
