Seattle bakery hosting special Arizona pickup Sept. 5-6

Seattle's Eastern European-inspired bakery Piroshky Piroshky is celebrating its 30th anniversary by touring the U.S., including Arizona. 

The bakery is having a pre-order pickup Sept. 5-6 in Gilbert and Scottsdale.

Founded in Seattle's historic Pike Place Market, Piroshky Piroshky has offered hand-crafted Eastern European pastries to customers since 1992. Known for its long lines out the door, Piroshky Piroshky Bakery has been featured on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations and voted one of “The 20 Most Iconic Food Destinations Across America by the Smithsonian.

"Everywhere we go, it's a pleasure to meet our dedicated Piroshky fans and make new friends," owner Olga Sagan said in a release. "And you can be sure that any occasion is perfect for our delicious hand-crafted treats — from snacks and breakfasts to dinners or desserts. We're elated to connect and share with our ever-growing Piroshky community across the United States. Let’s keep celebrating together!" 

First-time customers are invited to visit the website to check out the options, including seasonal items available for a limited time.

How it works: 

 
  •  Select pies online at piroshkybakery.com ahead of the visit.
  • The piroshky are handmade to order and flash frozen for delivery. 
  • Pick up the piroshky on the event day, 
  •  

The Gilbert pickup will be Sept. 5 at Wicked Rain Tap Room, ​1817 E. Baseline Road, Gilbert. The order deadline is 2 p.m. Sept. 3 with a $50 minimum. The pickup time is between 5-7 p.m.

The Scottsdale pickup will be Sept. 6 at Trevor's Liquor, ​7340 E. McDowell Road, Scottsdale. The order deadline is 2 p.m. Sept. 4 with a $50 minimum. The pickup time is between 5-7 p.m.
