Scottsdale welcomes new wave of electric bikes for public use

Lime, a leading provider of shared electric vehicles, launched a fleet of e-bikes in Scottsdale this week.

As explained in a press release, Lime has been working with the city of Scottsdale, local businesses and community partners to bring safe, affordable, sustainable transportation options to the bay in the form of its shared electric bicycles.

The company has launched dozens of its bikes so far and is scaling up to 100 e-bikes over the coming days. Lime has e-bikes and e-scooters in Phoenix and is proud to be expanding its sustainable transportation footprint in Arizona.

“Lime’s goal is to support Arizona cities, their residents, and their visitors with safe, affordable, and sustainable transportation options in the form of shared electric vehicles,” Justin Ireland, operations manager at Lime, stated in the release. “We are so excited to be bringing a fleet of e-bikes here to Scottsdale and we think residents and visitors will absolutely love them.”

“We know a big part of this program’s success will be based on ensure people ride safely and park responsibly, so we’ll be communicating with and educating riders on an ongoing basis and working with the city to ensure a smooth roll out,” Ireland added. “We look forward to seeing people in Scottsdale getting around safely and sustainably on our Gen4 e-bikes,”
