Scottsdale theater nominated for ariZoni awards

Scottsdale’s Desert Stages Theatre is earning recognition for its productions this year by being nominated in several categories for the ariZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence.
This past season, there were over 200 productions judged from over 30 ariZoni member theaters, with close to 3,500 eligible nominees across the categories, according to a press release.
On Monday, Oct. 2, award ceremonies for youth and adult winners will be held at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are on sale now for the award ceremonies.
Desert Stages Theatre is a non-profit performing arts theater established in 1995 and now located in Scottsdale Fashion Square. Each year, Desert Stages offers 250 performances comprised of eight adult productions, cast primarily from local actors and five youth shows with cast members ranging from 3 to 19 years of age.
