Anne Montgomery will be the speaker at the November 30 meeting of the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers.
Montgomery, the author of six published novels, will discuss how she lost her job in television, had way too much free time on her hands, and started her first novel as a form of therapy. She knew nothing about authoring books or the publishing industry, a business that has morphed into an ever-changing creature since the advent of Amazon and the Internet. She’s made mistakes, been disappointed, but moved forward by appreciating small victories.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Panera Bread at Gainey Village, 8777 N. Scottsdale Road, suite 302, Scottsdale. Check in begins at 5:15 p.m.
The cost is $20, which covers the meal.
