The Scottsdale Police Department’s Forensic Services Division collected school supplies to benefit Vista del Camino families who might not have been covered by other back-to-school programs.
The effort was led by crime scene specialist Kat Palma, and the supplies were delivered this week.
“This was an effort by our entire Forensic Services Division to donate the school supplies to Vista del Camino,” a police spokesperson said.
The forensic division includes about 45 employees spread across: the crime scene specialist unit, property and evidence, forensic laboratory section and the digital forensic unit.
