Scottsdale Fashion Square is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive Monday, Dec. 29. A Bloodmobile will be located in the shopping center’s south parking lot, 7014 E. Camelback Rd., across from Capital One Café.
The drive will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a press release.
Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-in appointments may also be available. Donors with all blood types are welcome, especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative who can give a Power Red donation, which collects a concentrated dose of red blood cells. These donors must meet specific eligibility requirements. The drive will also accept regular blood donations, during which approximately a pint of whole blood is given; these appointments usually take about an hour.
