Scottsdale Community Partners celebrated five decades of compassion, connection, and community impact across with a breakfast gathering at the Granite Reef Senior Center Oct. 23.
Since its founding in 1975 by the late Frances Young, the organization has been a source of hope for neighbors facing life’s toughest moments. Whether helping families overcome financial hardship, ensuring children have food to eat on the weekends or bringing comfort and care to isolated seniors, Scottsdale Community Partners’ mission has remained the same: to walk alongside those in crisis with dignity, empathy, and understanding.

Through programs like Adopt A Family, Back to School, Adopt A Senior, Healthy Packs, and Rent & Utility Assistance, Scottsdale Community Partners, in partnership with the City of Scottsdale, helps residents weather financial emergencies, avoid homelessness and regain stability when times are hardest.
Honored at the event were Denny Brown, who was awarded the Frances Young Volunteer Award and Gene Muñoz-Villafañe, who won the Civic Partnership Excellence Award. This award will now bear Muñoz-Villafañe’s in recognition of his lasting impact on the community.
