Rose to speak at Scottsdale Society of Women Writers event

Scottsdale Society of Women Writers welcomes Hayley Rose, children’s book writer and marketer, for the upcoming meeting.

Women writers are invited to attend the 6 p.m. event on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at the Panera Bread at Gainey Village, Scottsdale, 8777 N. Scottsdale Road, suite 302. Check-in at the restaurant between 5:15 and 5:30 p.m. to allow time to socialize, go through the buffet line and settle in for the meeting.

Rose, whose interests include chocolate and goat yoga, is a former entertainment business manager, according to a press release, describing how she embraced the world of publishing with creative, interactive books for kids.

A featured author at the Children’s Learning and Play Festival, she presented keynote presentations for the Readers Favorite International Awards, and the Desert Nights, Rising Stars Conference, and recently interviewed on the Author Learning Center alongside authors Stan Lee and R. L. Stine, the release said.

Rose is involved with several writers groups across the country but spends most of her time in Scottsdale with her “cookie obsessed” mini Schnauzer named, Blanche. Rose shares how she sold 30,000 copies, in three years, of her latest release, “Gomer the Gassy Goat.”

From the importance of book titles and covers, to influencers and launch teams, to Amazon and social media ads, she will guide attendees through the marketing process to help sell books no matter the genre, added the release.

The cost is $20 per person via PayPal payment at brooksgoldmannpublishing.com. Payment is due by 4 p.m., the Sunday before the event, and will not be accepted at the door. If bringing a guest, notify the host, Patricia L. Brooks, and have them contact her directly as guests may visit on two occasions before joining as a member.

The cost of the meeting covers the food and the room. The menu will consist of sandwich choices, salad choices, chips, cookies and a variety of beverages, the release noted.

Dues are $50 annually. Upon joining, members receive a copy of the directory, the monthly newsletter, member support and camaraderie at all SSWW events, plus enjoy a plethora of professional speakers.

All attendees must RSVP at least three days in advance. The membership form will be emailed per request. Email: info@brooksgoldmannpublishing.com.
