Rock legends Three Dog Night play live in Surprise

Legendary band Three Dog Night is now in its fifth decade and will visit Surprise for a show on Friday night.

An opening act will take the stage at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1 with Three Dog Night starting its set at 8 in The Vista Center for the Arts, 15660 N. Parkview Place, Surprise.

From 1969 through 1974, no other group achieved more top 10 hits, moved more records, or sold more concert tickets than Three Dog Night.

Three Dog Night hits weave through the fabric of pop culture, whether on the radio in TV commercials or in major motion pictures - songs like “Mama Told Me (Not To Come),” “Joy to the World,” “Black and White,” “Shambala”
and “One."

The band  had 21 consecutive Top 40 hits, including 3 No. 1 singles, 11 Top 10’s, 18 straight Top 20s, 7 million-selling singles and 12 straight RIAA Certified Gold LPs.

Created in 1968 by Danny Hutton, Three Dog Night maintains an aggressive, year-round touring schedule of more than 90 dates a year, performing their concerts for multi-generational audiences.

The band is recording new material for an upcoming album release. One of the new tracks, “Prayer of the Children”
features the vocals of all six members of the band are for the first time.

Three Dog Night kicks off The Vista Center for the Arts' lineup for the 2023-24 season, featuring an array of acts spanning comedians, music concerts, family-friendly shows, theatrical performances, holiday specials, and cultural events.

The Vista Center for the Arts opened for events in 2020.  The Vista boasts a  lobby and 1,300 seats and is
owned by the Dysart Unified School District.
