Republicans carry Legislative District 14

Grantham, Hendrix to the House, Petersen to the Senate

Arizona’s Legislative District 14 will be in Republican hands for the next two years.

After the final ballot count was released Monday, incumbent Travis Grantham retained his House of Representatives seat and will be joined by Gilbert Town Council Member Laurin Hendrix. The Republican pair defeated Democrat Brandy Reese.

Grantham received 36.36% of the vote and Hendrix 35.87% to handily defeat Reese, who had 27.77% after racing out to an election night lead.
