Concerns from the Sun City West community vary in topic and officials addressed several on the air.
During the Feb. 2 Rec Center Show on 103.1 KSCW with host Gary Cohen, Recreation Centers of Sun City West General Manager Bill Schwind addressed the issue of signage, about which residents raised concern.
“We do have a CC&R program and people get accustomed to calling the rec centers for various types of issues, like lost dogs, parked cars and even people living in cars,” he explained. “But one thing we do get hit hard on especially after windy or rainy days are the sandwich board signs on the side of the road. Those are typically not allowed and although we have the word city in our name, we are not a city, but a non-profit organization serving the rec centers.”
