RCSC board stalls on motions in Sun City

Annual meeting measure postponed, rules change dies

Sun City residents came loaded for bear, but in the end the anticipated actions at the Recreation Centers of Sun City did not happen.

The board, during its regular Sept. 30 meeting, was scheduled to consider a motion to add wording to its bylaws that would allow the cancellation of the corporation’s annual meeting for an “act of God or other limiting circumstances.” The other motion proposed changing the bylaws to make using Robert’s Rules of Order to guide the meetings optional for the board, replacing the word “shall” with the word “may.”

Residents presented their arguments against both motions for more than an hour.
